A Unique Approach to Women’s Issues
    Circles, Caregiving, Spirituality

    Who We Are:
We are two women who have been sitting in circle for over 15 years. We believe that a circle provides a natural way for women to gather and creates a safe place to congregate for confidences, support, ceremony and tradition.   It has worked for us and we have now been successfully bringing this format to a larger community of women.

    What We Do:
So far in our journey, we have taken the circle idea and extended it in two general directions:

    Caring for the Caregiver
When our elders began the dying process, we both became caregiver-midwives to the passing of the spirit of our parents, close  family friends and other relatives.  We found that the circle was an important spiritual anchor to create a sacred space, enabled us to handle the stress and provided a place and time for change, healing, transition and growth.  The very act of caregiving is what women do naturally and it took us through the cycle of life on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels, helping us realize the enormous strengths and rewards to be had from this experience.
We now pass on this knowledge and do caregiving circles for women in the community.

Circles of Women Addressing Broader Issues:
We also extend circling to other aspects of the feminine principle and explore how this impacts our everyday lives. We gather with women at natural earth times such as solstices and equinoxes or just when the “time feels right”.  We explore our transitions from maiden to mother to matriarch to crone and sprinkle it with the ceremony and respect these times deserve. We also provide individual circles with friends, mother-daughters or family and if needed, take on the “hard stuff” of relationships, feelings, and sticky issues.  We use ceremonial tools to empower us.

Being a Woman & Caregiver is About:
Being in the now, savoring the moment
    Healing relationships.
Connecting with others in an honest, open way.
Communication, spoken or unspoken with clarity, valor and compassion.
    Cycles, the transitioning of life.
Adding substance to your spiritual bones.
Understanding the feminine; the responsibilities, the limits, the essence.
    Transitioning into a “wise woman”.
